Penny Levin, Ph.D., a psychologist with more than 20 years’ experience, understands peak performance. Whether in the gym, the boardroom or the cockpit, we all need to learn to perform at our best.
As a licensed psychologist, certified flight instructor, and NASM certified personal trainer, she is uniquely qualified to understand the needs of individuals across a range of activities whose lives or livelihoods may depend on quick thinking and clear decision-making. In her work with individuals and groups, Dr. Levin deals with issues ranging from stress management, to career transition, to balancing work and family.
As an FAA certified flight instructor, Penny works with flight students and pilots to develop the mental toughness needed for success in any area of aviation. She is the Philadelphia Team Coordinator for an emergency response team, providing employee assistance and disaster relief services to several major airlines, served as a CISD responder in the aftermath of the 911 attacks, and trains pilot crews in search and rescue. She truly understands the art of performance under pressure.
In her health and fitness work, Dr. Levin is experienced both in lifestyle management and in rehabilitation psychology, helping many injured individuals cope with temporary and permanent physical limitations and return to optimal levels of activity.
As an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Temple University, she teaches the capstone course, Psychology in the Real World, helping senior majors formulate their career goals and develop strategies to move forward after graduation.
She is the recipient of numerous scholarships and awards, including a University Fellowship from Temple University, a Women in Aviation Achievement Scholarship, an Amelia Earhart Career Scholarship, and Top Aircrew honors at the National Emergency Services Academy/Civil Air Patrol.
